For the price pretty good... Bass response is very so so, as is expected for only a 6.5" driver... Also for the record, they are only 50 w rms... Means don't get too crazy with volume on a standard 100w/ch receiver

I used these for rears in a 5.1 small theater set up in my basement. Overall they did a great job but they seemed to struggle in the low range and with volume levels. They are fairly large so be sure you look at the dimensions of the overall unit as opposed to the speaker itself.<br /><br />The speaker build and quality seems to be very nice for the price. From all the other speakers in this price range, these are definitely the best bang for you buck.

I'm building a new house and needed some ceiling mount surround speakers. These speakers are angled to provide optimum sound quality. Love them. Highly recommend.

These are good speakers. Warning though, they are listed as 4 ohm speakers but are actually 8 ohm speakers according to the Box and manual from Yamaha!

Good Yamaha quality and easy installation. The high mids and highs are exaggerated at least 3db if not more. If you're over 60 with the natural age related high frequency hearing attentuation then these might be good. Same if your installing in a very dead/carpeted room or perhaps in an outdoor room with lots of ambient noise. Otherwise the highs can be a bit shrill. The fix for mine is to remove the grill and put some electrical tape on the backside of the grill in front of the tweeter.
