Exactly what expected. Good product. Seems sturdy enough. Cost seems pretty high for product but it does do as expected. With minimal care it should last quiet a time. Would recommend and would buy again.

The arms that hold the feeder onto the cages are too weak and loose for a 5 star rating. If they were a bit stronger and tighter, easily 5 stars. The problem is that the animal can easily knock the feeder off the cage simply by apply a little bit of pressure to the feeding side of the pan. It's still a 4, and would recommend. But, you're going to want to bend or amend the arms so that it stays on the feeder better.

I used this for 1 wide x 2 tall welded wire. The width of the feeder is slightly larger than 7 so you have to cut out an additional vertical piece of wire leaving a 1 gap on sides. Also for the height you have to cut out 2 1/2 to fit the feeder which leaves me with a 1 1/2 gap. Not a big deal but worth noting.

There's not a good reason this far that this feeder doesn't have 5 stars; the value is excellent, the sturdiness is without question for small animals, and it's durability in terms of longevity is just yet to be tested.If I have any concerns they can be alleviated by raising my hutch, but if I were to complain at all I'd really like a latching mechanism on the lid used to refill it regardless of whether or not I raise my hutch I'll likely add one.

Only ones you don't need to push the feed down. Absolutely recommend this over the crazy colored ones at tractor supply

I feed my rabbits homemade whole grains and not pellets. This would work great with pellets. But the mesh is too big for the barley and flax seeds, they fall right through the mesh.

This product functions exactly as it should. We've had no problems with the lid getting sticky or difficult to open. The sifter bottom is solid and holding. I always wish the arms that hold to wire netting were more substantial (although we haven't had any problems); but perhaps that would impair their functionality?
