Iím kind of a bareback purest but my breeches get so dirty and if Iím out for a long ride my bum gets pretty tired too so I broke down and ordered this pad. Itís super comfortable for me and my 17.2 girthy Percheron Mutt. Itís very light weight making it easy to use for a super casual trail rider like myself. I even feel a little more confident riding as this pad offers more grip than nothing at all, weíve really been getting our giddy up on lately! I highly recommend this pad and Iíve youve got a big fella like me, donít worry there is plenty of girth strap to go around.

I love to jump my horse. Bareback jumping is just the bees knees. This pad is so nice. With other pads my bum would hurt after going over 1 3ft+ jump. We did 3'6" oxers several times and my bum never once hurt and my horse didn't show any discomfort. Highly recommended ????

I like the soft fuzzy fabric for riding bareback in shorts. Cushioning is great. It is not shaped quite as expected, though, and it is barely wide enough in the leg area. - Looking again at the pad they sent me and at the picture, I don't think they sent me the correct pad. The pad in the picture has curves and is shaped like a normal pad. What was sent has straight angular lines, and is narrower in the leg area. It also has a cutback for the withers.

I have a couple of these and they work great. They keep you a little cleaner and add a little padding. With the d rings, I can put a grab strap and the kids get to work their bareback riding but had a little extra security.

LOVE this pad. Went for a week camping and trail riding. My horse was comfortable and so was I. It did turn her sides green/blue where the straps were, but it washed right off. (I'm assuming that will stop once the pad gets a little older).

My only real complaint is that I wish it didn't "narrow" at the back.
