I was looking high and low for a washer shim or spacer that was bigger than 1.5-inches but had an inner diameter opening of 1-inch. I could't find what I needed at first and was thinking that i might need to find a fender washer and bore out the opening. Happily that wasn't the case as I was NOT looking forward to doing extra work. The reason I needed this is that my contractor assumed that my reverse osmosis system had a 1.5-inch opening so he told the quartz countertop fabricator to drill out a 1.5-inch hole. This was way too big and so the RO faucet would slowly fall thorugh the countertop hole. Fortunately , this washer is perfect. The outside diameter is large enough that it sits on the countertop without danger of falling through. The hole is also well-hidden. Sitting on top of the washer as a spacer really emulates an escutcheon for my RO faucet. So it ended up working out despite my contractor's poor assumptions.

This flat washer meets published size specs and works well. C'mon, it's a flat washer. I am happy and would purchase this again.
