Been a great easy to use/maintain hide for various Leopard geckos. Almost 8 years down the road and all of them are still in great shape and used everyday by the geckos!

My cali king had a hard time shedding so i put this hide in her tank with some moss and put her in it. An hour later she shed!! I also have the small version as a normal hide for my baby corn snake works great.

I like this hide. My only complaint is that it looks very different than the pictures. The pictures depict it as a rough jagged natural rock looking cave, but in reality it is very smooth. That's fine, I still think it looks good. This is a very good hide for the price, however I would go with the Zilla Rock Lair instead. I have 3 of them and they are more natural looking, heavier duty, and have rough spots to help your reptile in shedding. They also have a little ramp and wall inside to block out light for your reptiles to feel safe and secure. They are only $5 more and it is definitely worth it. That being said, this is a nice cheap hide and I recommend both.

It's a great product and fits my 4ft BP in with room and he loves it. The only thing I would change about this would be the lid. It's loose and you have to push it to one side in order to keep it sturdy and I always think the snakewill knock it off it. But hasn't if a light magnet was added on 2 of the sides i feel more comfortable about it but nonetheless it works and hasn't fallen off due to the same going in and out. I would buy it again I just thing $50 is a little high. Over great product traps heat great and keeps them up to temp

My hognose loved this when he was living at the reptile store, and would spend most of his day in there. The new hognose the store has gotten also loves to stay in there, even with a variety of things in it's terrarium. Eventually will buy him one of these, but don't have space in his tank at the moment.

When I first ordered this I thought it was going to be a good purchase for when I get a bigger terrarium for my male ball python. When I first picked up the box I noticed it sounded like more than the two pieces. Thought nothing of it until I opened the zoomed box and there was a piece of material in it. I then noticed the separate boxes sounded like they had more than one peice. I was mad and irritated that I spent almost $70 for something that came broke beyond the point of repair.

This is a newer, inferior version which is thin ceramic. It looks nothing like what is pictured. Rather than looking like rock, it looks like a rounded off, smoothed over lump of something unrecognizable with a pathetic paint job. I purchased this item years ago. They remade it into something fragile and stupid looking. The top lids don't even fit properly. I'm never buying anything from Zoo Med again. I recommend buying the Zilla Rock Lair Sm instead. It's vastly superior quality and only three dollars more.

I thought it wld look more natural but it's very cute easy to clean and my crested Gecho loves it. She's happy I'm happy!
