Review is based on how the item arrived not on functionality. They looked used to me, had some black greasy stuff on them and stuff marks. but couldn’t tell if they were previously threaded on anything. 1st season so we’ll see if they worked come spring time You need a blower fan or air compressor to use these things.

So, we cannot yet attest their performance since we have not closed the pool. However, they arrived dirty, scuffed up, and the rubber stopper and o-ring had oxidized. After some clean up and pool gasket lubricant, they may work fine. If so, we will raise our review by a star, and if not, we will drop it by two.

I bought these based off a YouTube video I saw 2 yrs ago. These things are awesome. I can now close my pool by myself. You can tell if they are leaking because you see really little bubbles come out of them. Will use these plugs forever.

It helps to empty pipe , with fiber glass pool I can not empty pool ever , so while water level is above the plug I can still force water out. My last set of plugs lasted three seasons, still looked good but decided to get new one. Didn’t want to stretch my luck!
