The wire is to thin on the big headphone it comes apart.

We do not have to yell at our 99 year old friend for her to hear us. She is so happy to hear our voices again. We are so happy we don't have to yell anymore. This product is amazing!!! I recommend that the you keep the microphone away from the headphones. If you put them too close together, you'll get a ringing sound.

My dad is very deaf but keeps losing hearing aids. This works very well, and I have ordered three...one for the nurse med-cart, one to stay in his room and one for me to bring when I visit. Only recommendation is to have some padding on the headband. I had to order some separately.

I just got it so I have only used it around the house, but I am very pleased so far. I am on vacation so haven't used it in the classroom yet, but I have high hopes that this will solve my hearing problem at school. So easy to set up and use. The only thing I don't like is the little silly looking mic, but if it works, I don't care how silly it looks. I may update this review next week.

We got this for my Mom who is extremely hard of hearing and refuses to wear hearing aids. Easy to adjust for fit and volume. Having a conversation with her is so much easier now. It also gave her a chance to hear an Andrea Bocelli playlist that we both love. Definitely recommend this for anyone that is having problems hearing.

I am very happy with this product. I used something similar to this years ago working in rehab My father is very hard of hearing and won't use hearing aids. He can hear everything with this. We use the extended cord with the mic near the sound bar of the tv when he is watching a movie, and it works great. One day, it was not working. I realize that he had plugged the mic cord into the head set receptacle, which is easy to do the the older people with some cognitive deficits. Once I plugged everything in correctly it worked like a charm again. Some other reviewers complained that this was cheap plastic, but it needs to be light weight to hang around the neck or clip to a belt. I can buy 20 of these and it would still be cheaper and more effective than his useless pair of $3600.00 hearing aids

My father is extremely hard of hearing and has resisted being fitted for a hearing aid. We've tried numerous other products to help but none of them make a difference and end up being thrown out soon after being bought. This amplifier is awesome. He can hear us clearly from clear across the room without us shouting . Seems to work best if you put the bass level to the lower levels - speech is more clear without feedback noise and less static when the device moves around. Highly recommended

My dad can't handle things in his ears or looped over his ears. Great sound amplification he can control easily with his arthritic hands. It's a nice quick solution for watching tv or conversation. Simple and manageable for my father. Price quite reasonable.

First: we just got this a week ago, so I can't speak to the durability.My mom is very hard of hearing. She hasn't been willing to get hearing aids. We would shout to be understood. Occasionally we would write on paper for her. She was missing a lot.We got this, she put it on 2.5 and could hear every word we said. (We passed the microphone around and spoke quietly into it.) It was like she had super-ears--she was listening in on conversations we had behind her back. She talked more on that first visit with the PockeTalker than she has in years. It was wonderful.I look forward to this helping A LOT with medical appointments. Maybe it will even inspire her to get hearing aids.Two cautions:First, the volume wheel goes up to 10. She is listening on 2.5. I am concerned that an accidental push on the volume wheel or a loud noise could blow her hearing.Second, I initially thought the microphone would not fit into the extension cord jack. I contacted the co, they were very responsive and said push hard, use a lot of force. It worked.
