Buttons are easy to use. Sound is good. However, the display screen is very, very difficult to read. The text is small, the contrast is very bad. My mother in-law cannot see it at all. Also, it is a challenge to find the list of missed calls. It is far down on the menu and not easy to navigate to, it should be the first item.

This phone was purchased for Senior. After you install it, I recommend you disable the call blocking feature. It's just to easy for the senior to enable. The volume control is on the side of the handset which a senior will need to practice using. Finally, the Amplify button is not one the Senior would think they need -- but they will eventually get use to using it since they may not always be using their hearing aid.

Arrived in good condition. It was one of the few I found that had Memory buttons on the handset. I'm going to set it up for my blind neighbor and he wouldn't be able to scroll through the menu. The pairing of the extensions was a little hard but they finally took.

Thank goodness for Betty Hernandez, who explained in her review how to register a SN5107 handset to the SN5127 phone. Follow the directions in the set-up guide, but after pressing you have to press the down arrow. I wasted an hour trying different things. The user manual and set-up guide for the phone also omit that crucial detail.So far the handset itself is working fine for my very hard-of-hearing 92-year-old mother, and she likes having all 4 of her children on speed dial. She has cognitive impairment (not dementia) and there is no way she could have set up the phone herself, but I expected that. At age 68 it took me about 4 hours. A 15-year-old might have done it in 40 minutes, but entering names for the speed dial numbers requires a knowledge of old-style texting (press once for A, twice for B, etc.), so hah.
