These are rattle-cans so I wouldn't expect professional quality results but, for the cost, well worth it for the results delivered. I wanted to paint some wheels for a 15 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee that my kids will use to learn to drive. So I didn't need anything too perfect. As suggested in some of these reviews, I took my time with cleaning and prep and used many light coats. Overall, you're not going to mistake the final result for that coming from a professional paint booth or powder coater but I'm very happy with the final result. I love the Black Chrome look and I used the smoked version of this product and got something close to that look.

This paint is easy to run leaves specks where the paint don't stick no matter how good you clean them but still looks good

I used it on plastic with a metallic silver base for a metallic look on plastic. The rim and center are this product and I love the result.

For chrome items you may need to apply 3 or more coats. And repeat for about three times with half hour intervals. But over all it does the job.

I've used every color of this paint but purple. All work extremely well and are very durable. They are a transparent coloring so you can use them to add color accents but still see what's under, like carbon fibers. I use them on golf clubs to add a durble top coat so people don't leave idiot marks on top of their drivers.

I used this to repaint the gas tank and side panels of a motorcycle I bought as a first time rider that had a cheap black spray paint job on it.There was a lot of trial and error, but here's the strps I took:1. Apply a base coat first. I only needed one layer, at most two. I used duplicolor's gray for this. 1 can needed.2. Layer, layer, layer. Dont get greedy. My first attempt left runs like crazy because the first layer looked like i just sprayed 90 of it in the air and I got greedy trying to apply too much at once. I stripped and restarted. I applied at least 10-15 light layers in intervals of a couple hours. I used 2 cans of orange for the gas tank.3. I applied a clear coat using Duplicolor's x3 clear coat spray. Used 1 whole can and applied it in intervals of 24 hours. Ended up being about 4-5 layers.4. Let it dry for a week. Clear coat was soft and it took awhile for me to be confident enough to move onto the next step.5. Sanded the whole thing with 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 3000 grit sandpaper. This was to smooth it up. Clear coat spray leaves a bumpy finish and I wanted something that looked like it was off the factory floor. You don't need to do this if you dont want to.6. Shined it up with some buffing compound and then wax.The main thing I recommend having before starting this kind of process is patience. If not, don't bother. Trust me. This took me 2 weeks of daily attention.

I've had to get my rims sandblasted after using this. I used this spray can just like any other can and I ended up with black rims. How was I supposed to know you are only suppose to dust it on from far. I'm going to try really hard to never buy a Duplicolor product ever again.

When its the right shade it is great, when it isn't, it is merely okay. Out of all the cans I have bought only one of them was a little off, luckily it worked out this time but I would strongly suggest doing a test patch before painting your project.
