Instead of an ash wood handle, it arrived with a low quality, glued on, fiberglass handle. The seller, when contacted, advised that the manufacturer was out of ash wood handles. The fiberglass handle replacement changes this tool from a heavy duty work tool to a light work/weak tool.

Seems very sturdy and head is a good weight for my needs, however the handle if a fiberglass material not ash as described. No idea of it will hold up, but is still better than what was available to me locally, so overall happy but the item description is not accurate.

This hoe works great for all the jobs I've been using it for, including weeding, shaping beds, and breaking up hard soil. Even though the handle is strong, it doesn't quite match the head's weight and strength, so I deducted a star. The head and handle meet at a slight wobble that I've noticed after multiple intense gardening sessions. Although it's not a deal-breaker, prospective buyers should know it.
