This handle had plenty of meat to make sure that i had enough material to remove to fit this to my hammer head well. It's strong and has a great feel and it's plenty long so i actually cut it down to make it just what i wanted on my mini- sledge. Sanded easily on my belt sander and shaped up well.

Perfect fit for my old little beater. Handle comes without any finish which is perfect if you wrap your handles with friction tape. Comes with a hardwood wedge and 2 steel wedges. I pressed the hardwood in with Titebond and a 20T press. Its in there and now that Im retired from the Ironworkers, should last me for the rest of my years.

Handel was a little shorter than the original handle. Top was to large and needed top be filed to fit the hammer head
