After reading about various reason mitigation strategies, this model was definitely the way to go for me.I will admit I was worried about the noise that the fan would produce based on reviews I had read. Upon arriving and unboxing I plugged it in and sure enough it was fairly loud which gave me a little pause. With that said though after installing and joining all PVC pipe sections together and venting to the outside of my house this fan is extremely quiet. I'm talking half the noise that is produced when someone is talking in a normal voice... Somewhere in between a whisper in normal talking. Some of the videos I've seen with people's fans making a clattering noise, I'm fairly convinced they have faulty units and should get them replaced under the 10-year manufacturer warranty. As far as power goes it's currently drawing 42 watts at 110 volt so it's fairly power efficient. I got to say I'm extremely impressed. After two days our reason levels dropped from 6-8pCi/L to .6.... More than a 90 reduction.

I installed a radon dome over my sump pit and added this fan. My readings went from 8 to 0.4. The fan is quiet and easy to install and no ugly pipe going up the side of our house.

Some reviews couldn't stand the sound. It does make some noise, but mine is in the mechanical room in my basement with the water heater, boiler, and oil tank. It's quieter than my boiler, and since it runs constant.I never notice it. It did a great job reducing the radon levels. My research led me to the conclusion that while a contractor probably couldn't install it. As a homeowner, I was perfectly free to do so. Install itself was pretty easy and I like that I don't have a obnoxious pvc pipe running up the side of my house

I really liked the fact that I could vent out of my rim joust and not have to run pipe up the side of the house or try to hide it in walls and best of all no penetration threw the roof! It dropped my radon levels to a .59 from the high fours and even high fives in the laundry area! Little noise but no problems with that! Seems high quality and is giving great suction from under my basement slab! I definitely would recommend this one! I'm happy with my purchase!! And it's made in mn!

The product works great and would highly recommend. Couple of things. The motor is pretty quiet but the discharge vents is pretty noisy. Mine happens to come out under a shower pan but another neighbor comes out under his master vanity and is a bit noisy. Highly consider placement before installation. Most importantly I would like to see much better installation instructions. The actual installation turned out to be fairly simple but the directions look like something that would come out of China.

I had radon levels of 8 and they are under 1 after 24 hrs of installing the fan using a digital radon meter. It was an easy install using my sump pit. Not as loud as I thought l, but I added a sound proof box around the system to help more.
