Perfect fit

While this was far from an exact fit for a mid-70s Milwaukee 1/2" drill and did require considerable carving (utility knife and round file) of the boot to get a good fit, it looks to be a fine replacement. The cord is stiff but 9 feet is nice. I also replaced my early 70s Milwaukee saw with a Bergen 6-foot (PS613163) and a Superior BOOT-M rubber boot which only required two small hacks with a utility knife to get a decent fit. I wish I'd gone 9 feet for that one.I will be interested to see how this cord wears but this drill gets less use than it did back when I pretended to be a carpenter (and a cordless drill now takes center stage) so It should be eminently serviceable.

While the chart said it was exact replacement, I had to modify the boot to get it to fit. Also, the old cord the switch were a one piece unir; the new one was not. I had to cut the cord splice it with a wire nut. Luckily, there was enough room in the cavity for the wire nut. Otherwise, the cord seems sturdy enough. My jigsaw is back in service.
