I have always ordered free forms from the IRS. Never got them this year, but I will continue to buy these instead. They fit into the printer perfectly, unlike the ones IRS sends out. Much easier to use.

Ugh! Worst forms I've bought ever. It took 2-3 times longer to align and print and then to pull apart than it's ever taken me before. Normally you can get the alignment set up on one copy (i.e. Copy A) and then print all the forms and they'd be the same but these were all different so they were all over the page wasting forms and requiring realignment every time. Then, when it was time to tear off extra strip and separate the forms, the perforations were barely there and they weren't in the same place on copies B and C so you couldn't do them together. Everything was ripping and I had to do them basically one page at a time. I've been doing 1099s for my clients for years and I've never had such a difficult time with the forms ever before. Maybe next year I can talk my clients into paying extra for e-filing to save my sanity during my busiest month of the year. Definitely won't be using this supplier again...

Hopefully these 1096's will work with the 1099 program I purchased from Office Depot. Unfortunately Office Depot did not sell 1096's in a separate package - you had to purchase 1099's and 3 to 5 1096's in each package depending on price. I had plenty of 1099 NEC's - I just needed more 1096's. Hopefully this will work okay.

To all the people commenting about it not working with Quickbooks...As with ANY 1099 form, you have to align it.How to align it:- First a window will pop up that says Print 1099 and you hit ok.- Then another window will pop up where you can select the vendors. Click Print 1099- This screen is the final print window, and at the bottom it says AlignYou have to do a couple blank sample pages and hold them up to the light to see if it aligns to the form correctly. The 1096's require something like 3 vertical, -3 horizontal.I've bought these forms from multiple vendors. They are all the same, and rarely change year after year.
