The Chalice is very sturdy and large enough to serve a big congregation. The paten is unfortunately small and doesn't really match the Chalice, but it is serviceable. Frankly the quality of the Chalice along with the very reasonable price, makes this a fine purchase in spite of the odd Paten.

I really like this Chalice. It is not too elaborate but is understated in its decoration. I use it for Communion in both my churches. The platen, too small for my purposes. The Chalice was well worth the price without the platen in my opinion.
