6'1" male, 31" waist, long torso but normal length arms. I typically have to wear t-shirts in size large and tailor them in because they're too baggy, because otherwise the t-shirts aren't long enough. I have the same problem with jackets; they're always too short. Luckily this rain jacket is sufficiently long for me without the arms being too long! I got a Small and the fit is very good. There's room to move around no problem. I wish that it were slightly more tailored (instead of a sad rectangle), but if you cinch the cord at the bottom, it makes it a tad more flattering. This would be a five star jacket (and I'd buy it in multiple colors), if not for two problems. First, velcro flap that covers the zipper cheapens the look of the jacket and is just kind of ugly. A non-flap design with just a waterproof zipper would look SO MUCH better. Second, while I love the two side pockets for hands, the jacket could really use more pockets. A small interior chest pocket. A phone pocket in the interior back of the jacket would be great. Currently, the only pockets are filled by hands, so the jacket basically has no pocket space for other things. Material is not quiet. It's not terribly loud, but not quiet. If you're annoyed by "swish, swish, swish" sounds as you walk, this isn't for you. If I were walking in nature without headphones, I think this material would be annoying to listen to. Not sure if there are other rain jackets that are quieter. Warmth: Extremely limited testing, but it doesn't seem like the sweatbox that some waterproof materials can be. It's like having a medium thickness long sleeve shirt on, but not a sweater. If you're in a hot climate, this would likely get hot fast. If you're in a cold climate, you would need to layer beneath it to stay warm. Value: With a decent sale, this is a decent value. keywords: short, long, noisy, sleeve, length, sound, loud
