It is small, but it did the trick to level out a screen door and "sticky" antique dresser drawers.

It could be that I have pretty big paws, but this little guy is not comfortable to use. Lots of hard edges. Be sure to adjust depth of cut on scrap. Blade quality is okay for the price with some sharpening, but expect to take some gouges out of wood learning to make the tedious, minor adjustments required. It does provide a beginner a very low cost entry into learning just how plane geometry works and how to do some rudimentary sharpening.

I finally got around to using this thing just not what I intended to use it for when I bought it. I planed a window frame in a garage door. It worked well. Wear gloves and be strong. I think they should include a twenty language paper on how to keep the blade sharp. Recommended

Price, available, handy. I bought one of these about 10 yrs ago (i think) and found it hard to get another one in my area. I remember I paid $10.00 THEN! This is a nice little mini-plane. example: I installed a new door in an old house, and instead of getting a door with a frame, I got just the door. (nothing square in this house!) I forgot to put a block plane in my box and instead of going out to get one, I just grabbed this thing out of my bag and was able to shave off here and there. End grain no problem! you do need to hone it good tho. I also found it impossible to find replacement irons. (one inch) Finally found some and bought a half dozen. Get a few of these and you won't regret it. Sand the bottom, hone the little blade and shave away. Not easy setting the blade, but hey, you'll be surprised how handy it can be.Cons: long time delivery

This was a great tool to have on hand when we were shingling our new shed. No need to bring out the big table saw, just zipped off what needed to be removed. Small, compact, easy to use. Nice thing to have!

I got this to shave the top of my closet door. It swells in the summer from the humidity and its very difficult to open. It worked perfect and was easy to use.

I used this to shave down a door and it worked well. It takes a few seconds to set the blade and get going. I removed one star because the planer was unsealed from the retail packaging when I received it.

I am new to this type of planer but wanted to try for my woodwork. I needed a little bit of practice to hold and use it. Once accustomed to it, I was able to use as needed. Though small, it worked very well to smoothen the corners. Only negative point is the ability to hold it well because of its size. Other than that, I like the product and happy with my purchase.

i find it extremely difficult to use.adjusting the plane depth is hard because the whole blade sways from side to side.using the work piece to keep the blade from twisting while you adjust just seems to make for a cut depth thats too shallow or too thick because of how steady your hand has to be as you adjust the knob..
