- Stand your horse squarely on a flat, level surface for an accurate measurement.
- Start at the Center of the Chest:
- Place a soft measuring tape at the center of your horse's chest, right where the blanket would begin.
- Measure Along the Side:
- Extend the tape straight back along the widest part of the shoulder and hindquarters.
- End at the Tail:
- Stop measuring at the very edge of the tail, where the blanket should end.
- Record the Measurement:
- The total number of inches is your horse's blanket size.
