As others have mentioned, the holes didn't line up but switching the backplates, the lined up fine. Make sure you READ THE DIRECTIONS and remove the piece from the original lights before you begin your install.The only real issue I had was with the mounting screws. Particularly, the ones which mount the lights to the body. The package includes longer ones to mount the lights but the thread pitch is different than the originals which can strip the threads and bend the screws themselves. Not very good quality. Had to run to the hardware store to find ones which could handle the extra torque to mount the lens covers to the body of the jeep.

The first issue I ran into is they weren't made correctly. The outside screws are threaded but they didn't cut the threads on one side. The driver's side was threaded, but they didn't thread the passenger side holes.The second issue I ran into is that on the only two hours they did thread, I could only get one of the bolts to thread into three hole. There were threads in both holes, but I couldn't get the bolt to line up enough to catch the threads. To be fair on this one I have aftermarket lights and maybe the light holes aren't perfectly where they should be. If the bolt was chamfered on the end I think it would go in, but they are flat and pretty small. A pointed screw would work better.With that said, and it was very frustrating, I can make them work. I will use a tap to cut the threads on the passenger side and use a grinder to chamfer the end of the other bolt slightly.Once installed they look good and the powder coating looks robust. They are strong and fully contain the light and replace a lot of the plastic. I feel that of the tail light covers I've seen, these are the strongest. The back half goes right up against the Jeep and the paint. That didn't bother me and I like the fact that it is a full steel cage.Bottom line, I like the product, but it could use a little work. Either change the bolt or make the boss that it threads into a funnel to guide the bolt into the threads. The unthreaded part was a downer too

These guard does not WORK well with JW Speaker lights. Huge gap on the side of the guard, force the light through tight opening of the bracket that left the light scratched along the sides. I re-installed these guard carefully few times but the holes did not lined up correctly and left huge gap on the side. Also, I even made the guard hole slightly larger to line-up with mounting hole but NO LUCK. These guard was designed for OEM and smaller housing lights.
