I bought this to put a cover over the sharp edge of a $12 Harbor Freight Hatchet. I don't want the hatchet cutting up crap behind the seat of the truck. It seems to fit the axe perfectly. Since I don't plan on carrying it on a belt through the woods or any of that other nonsense it appears it's going to last quite a long time.

I had to remove a rivet for my hatchet handle to clear. Over all it what I wanted to store the hatchet in my camping gear

After reading through the reviews it's obvious that this sheath is not made of the most premium of materials. That being said it was better than I expected and at a fair cost for what I was expecting. It should be better branded through as it only fits small to medium sized hatchets. My Menards brand hatchet fits perfectly.

Simple hatchet sheath. It's a little large for a fiskars x7 hatchet but, it fits. Seems like good canvas material to keep the blade at bay.
