These tip-out trays are made from quality materials, but I've found them to be problematic for the following reasons: They are very difficult to install - I've only done one and it took well over an hour and left me scratched up and pissed-off. The trays hold a trivial amount of stuff. The closing mechanism is extremely strong, so the trays are difficult to open and they slam shut with enough force to fling their contents out. Due to this, I'm only using them to store some small sponges. In short, these trays are an OK idea whose practical problems do not justify the time taken to install them.

Wow, was this tough to install; it took me over a week. I have one straight board, which I wasn't planning to cut in two, so I installed all four hinges on it. But first I had to repair the board; once I'd pried it off, I discovered it had a big cutout down the back for some reason, which I had to fill in with scrap because the hinge screws fell in that area. (With older houses, you just expect the unexpected.) Once I had a usable back on the panel, I put the nails back in (loosely) to hold the panel in place while I climbed into the cabinet with a pencil to draw the outline of the openings for lining up the paper templates that come with the set. You drill your pilot holes off the template. As for the screws, the only way I could get this to work was starting them with the hinges closed, which meant climbing into the sink cabinet with a flashlight and a screwdriver for some contortions around the sink bottoms. Once they're started in the holes, you can prop the panel open and screw them in (still by hand -- the heads strip easily) from the outside; if the pilot holes aren't deep enough, this will be a miserable process. Also I kept dropping the screws, and they're small and easy to lose (I never did find one of them), but fortunately the pack included an extra. I suspect the overall process may be much easier if you're only doing two hinges at a time rather than four. I didn't tighten the screws for the trays because I want to be able to remove them easily, and that's been fine -- they've stayed in place even when I accidentally let the panel slam. But that shallow inside rim means you have to be careful about how you pack things into these trays or stuff will go flying into the cabinet. I also needed sandpaper, wood filler, and stain for the gouges on the front from removing the nails; I routed finger pulls, which also got sanded and stained. I don't have drawers to spare, so this has been fairly useful for getting assorted items off the countertop. I'm judging it worth the effort.

Overall I really like these rev-a-shelves for fake drawer fronts. This particular one did not come with any instructions or any templates. Which made install a lot longer.

Exactly as described. The templates are genius, just be careful with them because they make the whole installation process so simple. Mine came with a couple spare screws, so I put the templates in a bag with them so I can take them with when we buy a house.

These are nice retrofit draws for the front of the sink base but they can be difficult and tedious to install. Be patient and you also might have to modify the back of the blank panels if they are blank draw fronts with slots for the side rails. Those will need to be filled in so the screws will have something to bite into.

We ordered these and only had two and liked them so much we bought another order for two more dummy drawers. Not easy to install but I had tools to make it easier. The only thing I would suggest is make it in two pieces so you could install the part in the cabinet and the other hardware on the dummy drawers and clip it in.Some people might not be able to install them.

While I have not used it yet I love the fact that all the sponges are out of sight! Highly recommend it. Will update my review if needed but so far a happy customer... This my 3rd Rev-a-shelf!! Love the other two.

The false drawers in front of sinks is such a waste of space. When I took mine off to paint the cabinets, I decided it was time for some tip-out drawer fronts. Now I have a place for sponges, sink stoppers, scrubbers and other small items that would get lost in the large bins under my sink. These are a little tricky to install, so I had my husband do it, and it was done in maybe 15 minutes for the pair. I use them daily and I'm glad to have that little added feature in our kitchen. These should really be standard in any kitchen cabinets in my opinion! You won't regret buying these.

The destructions were unreadable. Even those available online. How hard is it to add some photos to a web site? I ended up under the sink marking the spots for the screws. On the plus side, they actually provided more screws than needed. And, it works.

It's a little harder to install when you already have a sink installed. Once we watched several you tube videos we were able to figure it out.
