With excellent looks, powerful output capability, and refined sound the Executive Bluetooth speaker is an unbeatable package.
The Executive speaker kit is a battery powered portable Bluetooth speaker with sleek and modern looks that delivers sound quality that will make any audiophile happy. The powerful 2.1 design delivers high output with smooth and accurate response that will present a wider soundstage than you expect from such a compact system. The simple on-board controls allow you to tune the sound to fit the environment and even control your media player directly from the Executive speaker. A 4" coaxial driver with a 3/4" silk tweeter on each of the stereo channels produce extremely smooth response on and off-axis with nearly perfect phase response. For the low end, one of the highest excursion 5-1/4" subwoofers available is matched with an 8" passive radiator to deliver accurate deep bass response with power and authority.
Poly cone driven by a 1" voice coil delivers a natural laid-back response with extreme control and low distortion. The bottom octaves are handled by the famous Tang Band W5-1138SMF 5-1/4" subwoofer paired up with a Dayton Audio DS215-PR 8" Passive Radiator. One of the highest excursion 5-1/4" subwoofers available, the W5-1138SMF looks great and will dispense bass like you would never expect from a design this small.
The enclosure for the Executive is designed to be easy to assemble and extremely rugged. Made from 1/2" thick high quality Baltic birch plywood, this box can take a beating and is much more moisture resistant MDF. The panels have all been precision cut with dadoes and rabbets for every piece making assembly a snap. The clean lines and modern look makes finishing simple and leaves plenty of room for customizing, allowing you to make the Executive speaker fit into any decor.
About the Driver
Equipped with incredible cutting edge drivers, you can be sure that the Executive speaker is capable of outstanding performance for an unbeatable value. Dayton Audio's CX120-8 4" coaxial driver, with a 3/4" silk dome tweeter, handles the midrange and high frequency duties. The 3/4" silk dome tweeter produces natural but crisp response and is co-axially mounted inside the woofer's voice coil for near perfect phase and time alignment.
About the Amplifier
The passive radiator design allows the enclosure to be incredibly compact with extremely low tuning, which keeps excursion under control and allows powerful output to under 40 Hz. All of this is powered by the TPS3116D2 Class D 2.1 Bluetooth 4.0 Amplifier Board, which is capable of 200 watts RMS of output. Thanks to the available power and excellent set of features, this amplifier makes the Executive a potent and flexible portable system.
