The digital soldering pencil is also ESD Safe like most professional soldering stations.
Most soldering irons take forever to heat up to operating temperature. This digital iron is ready to melt solder in less than 60 seconds. Its high quality ceramic heating element heats up and cools down quicker than similar style irons. Ceramic heating elements are also more durable than standard all metal versions. An included silicone cover slides over the hot element so you're not waiting for it to cool down. Make sure the covers off whenever the soldering iron is on.
Note: You must hold down the red power button for 4 seconds to turn the iron On/Off. This safety feature prevents the soldering iron from accidentally being turned on.
