125 Piece Open and Closed Rubber Grommet Assortment
This 125 grommet kit has many uses for automotive and around the house. They replace broken and worn-out grommets in water hoses and leaky faucets. Cut slits in the closed grommets to fit any size wire up to 3/4".
They also work great for absorbing vibrations, or protecting wires. Many projects use thin metal boxes to enclose PC boards and other electronic components. Holes have to be drilled in order for wires to reach the internal components. Install one of these grommets inside the hole and then run your wire through the hole without having to worry if the metal will shave off the wires insulator or jacket. Metal electrical boxes have this problem, but not if you fill the holes with one of these grommets. The grommets fill 7/8?, 3/8?, 5/8?, 5/16?, 1/4?, 1/2?, 7/16?, 19/32", 15/32", 15/16", 31-32" and 1? holes. The inside holes are 1/8", 7/32", 9/32", 1/2", 3/8", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 5/8" and 3/4" in diameter for wire and screws to fit through.
Vibration absorption is another great use for these grommets. License plates are very noisy when you crank-up the bass or when you're driving down a bumpy road. Use grommets to insulate your license plate from the body of your vehicle. Use them as washers or insulators in projects to keep boards from vibrating or touching metal surfaces.
