I hadn't ever seen these butter keepers before but this is awesome. No more hard butter, waiting for butter to soften or putting it in.the microwave. Looks good on the counter too!

Butter can be left on counter without getting all messy. Leaves butter at a great consistent temperature. Remember to change water every couple of days

We had a butter bell that hardly ever got moldy but this one did and got stains on it. I changed out the water weekly like I always do with them but this one just couldn't get grey stains that had set in out. It never actually had mold, but those stains appeared. Switched to another butter bell and have not had the same problems. we love butter bells because the butter stays spreadable in the winter and doesn't melt in summer.

This is my second Norpro Butter Keeper. I've tried others but I always come back to this one. Love the size (there are just two of us) as it keeps just enough butter for our use, while staying fresh. I like the simple style, the fact that the top of the lid is unfinished so it doesn't slide around on the counter, and though some complain about the small size of the handle on top, it doesn't seem to bother us. No accidents. We live in Arizona where the butter is quite soft in the summer, but not overly so. Doesn't fall out when packed carefully. Lid doesn't collect water in the dishwasher when it is placed sideways in the rack. But I do wish it were white, as described. Color is more cream, so would give it 4-1/2 stars if I could.
