These mixing bowls are great. The three sizes are the perfect range of sizes. They stack easily without the lids. The non-skid base is a nice added feature. The lids are great too because it is nice to be able to cover leftovers or a marinade with a lid. The lids are sturdier than plastic wrap and you can stack these mixing bowls on top of each other with the lids on which helps reduce the amount of refrigerator or table space needed.I recommend buying this mixing bowl set with lids. The size range is great and I have not had to buy another mixing bowl set. I have put these bowls in the freezer to chill before making whipped cream and poured boiling water in them to make gelatin. These stainless steel mixing bowls have stood up to cold and heat. I hand wash my dishes and find that soaking these bowls with Dawn dish soap is a great way to clean these bowls.The lids are a nice bonus feature because although you could always use plastic wrap to cover the mixing bowls, plastic lids are stronger. The plastic lids also let you stack the bowls on top of each other if you wanted to cut down on horizontal space. Storing the lids with the bowls does not take up very much cabinet space, so I recommend buying this mixing bowl set with lids to give yourself the option of using the plastic lids.
