Mission: The Mission of Nazareth House Apostolate is ongoing prayer. Living the life of prayer in community at St. Simeon Skete. We believe that this benefits the world and brings peace at levels that round tables and politics cannot reach. Blossoming from this prayer is the physical work of Nazareth House in which we minister as described in Matthew 25, regardless of religion, race, ethnic background in areas of the world that are in turmoil spiritually, physically and emotionally especially within the United States.
Results: Overseas we have built schools, soap factories, homes and provided the necessary tools and skills for the people who were "hidden in the cracks" in the villages of Sierra Leone. Our goal is always to bring those we serve to independency. It is our experience that continued prolonged dependency has the tendency to breed the paradoxical dangers of control via the organization and/or work-shy, under-activeness of the recipient. Now, through NHA, these villagers have been given the necessary tools, knowledge and structures to be self-sufficient. We have stepped back to allow them to take charge of their lives and move forward as a strong and progressing community. NHA has returned to the United States to be a resident force of prayer and provide as prescribed in Matthew 25.

Programs: The Mission of Nazareth House Apostolate is ongoing prayer. Living the life of prayer in community at St. Simeon Skete. We believe that this benefits the world and brings peace at levels that round tables and politics cannot reach. Having provided the necessary tools for self-sufficiency to the villages of Sierra Leone we once served, we have transferred our International work in Sierra Leone into the hands of their community. Our work now is primarily service of families within the domestic United States.
