These are quite tasty noodles and make a great whole grain addition to your meals. I've tried these with chicken stir fry and in soup and both were delicious. In comparison to standard pasta noodles these cook up much faster in about 3 minutes. It also seems that these noodles need more seasoning than pasta. I'm not quite sure why as these noodles have a very mild flavor, but I had to add way more spice than I usually do to get the flavors to pop. I really like the thin noodle size and the smooth texture. This makes them very easy to slurp up in soup. These packages are quite small at 8.8 ounces, but a little goes a long way as these noodles are very filling. Im happy with the overall quality and taste of these noodles, but I do feel the over $30 current price is a bit high.

I ate these in a traditional manner, served cold, with a soy-based commercial soba sauce. Texture is very good, with that chewiness you look for in soba noodles, and the flavor was good, too. The price works out to just over a dollar per generous serving. (Each individual package contains three 1.5 ounce bundles, but the label specifies 200 calories per 1 ounce serving,)

Review for: Blue Dragon Dried Soba Noodles, Pack of 10, Four simple ingredients, Pre-portioned in 3 segments, Easy to use and store,These Soba noodles are as easy to prepare as any other pasta, just boil for three minutes. However, they offer much more flavor than pasta. The buckwheat seems to bring out the flavor of other ingredients. My family has been eating these with vegetable stir fry. Rather than cook them with the stir fry, I pour the stir fry over the cooked noodles.I do find that any left over noodles are quite sticky when they cool unless I have put just a bit of oil on them when still hot. For my family, these noodles are a wonderful discovery that adds more variety to our meals.

I love soba noodles!! They're delicious and super easy to prepare. This set comes with 10 packs, so you'll have delicious soba for many meals. Highly recommended!!!

About sixty years ago I was stationed in Japan, that is where I was introduced to Soba noodles. Small places served up a bowl of these with the most delicious broth. On a cold night nothing could be better. Slurping down a bowl of hot noodles with chop sticks. These are excellent quality and are the base for an excellent meal. Throw in a few veggies, like pea pods Juliane carrots asparagus pieces --- go over the edge and a slice of hard boiled egg , thin sliced pork loin.
