I don't know of anybody who has complained about the taste of Mountain house products. I tried this item on two separate occasions, both times they were a little chewy, but I like that they were. The second time I tried it, I had used a little more water and did not find it to make a difference. Plenty of food in each pouch for one person, but I'm a pig at times, so it probably does contain two servings. I hate the price factor, I try to compare it to what I would have to pay in a restaurant for this as a meal, and it's still hard to justify.

Cut up a few green peppers, onions, and some pepper it helped providing a crunch

I followed directions amp; wrapped the pouch it in a blanket for about an hour amp; sad to say the sausage was still kinda hard, biscuits too it was pretty creamy, tasted good amp; a little thicker gravy which I thought would be runny. Overall I will not purchase again but I do like MH's other foods. This pouch said it fed 1.5 people, definitely not unless you're a bird....1 person meal amp; it was filling!

The Biscuits amp; Gravy is one of the best tasting Mountain House meals I've tried thus far. Definitely the best of the "Breakfast" options. If you follow the directions, it turns out creamy, savory and delicious. Consistency is spot-on from what you should expect from a biscuits and gravy. The sausage crumbles really set it over the top. It's a great comfort food for when you're in the middle of nowhere or hunkered down at home in some extreme weather situation.

Soupy per thier 1.5 cup of water, the little sausage bits are kinda gross. Would be better without them, theres like a half of a biscuit in the whole pouch.

I am a Mountain House Fan...I will admit it. I not only buy and use the meals for camping, I use for meals in-house for a quick, easy and tasty meal with NO CLEANUP! The Biscuits and Gravy meal is a very good choice for a tasty filling breakfast, either in the field or at home. Add some spices: salt, ground black pepper and garlic and you got a real 'down home' Bamp;G meal. One point of NOTE: make certain to really really stir it up and let sit a bit longer than they call for...I do 6 minutes, stir, 6 minutes more...you may get some dry biscuit at the bottom, so if at home, empty the pouch out onto a plate and break up the biscuit if its there and dry. Great meal all in all...very tasty, easy to prepare both at home and at the campsite. Recommended!
