It has it's limitations, but this is a great little setup for backpacking and such. Plus it's only slightly more expensive than just buying the Trangia burner by itself, so you might as well in my opinion. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Love it. I can boil 8 oz of water in no time at all. Cooked rice and cooked noodles on it also. Light. Easy to find fuel.

Ditch the wind guard pot stand if you have smaller pots for backpacking. The stove however is bombproof and lives in my Stanley adventure cup in my camping backpack. The lid has an o-ring so you can fill the stove with fluid and have a leak free existence. So affordable, and so reliable. Never go camping without one. I use it as a back up if its raining, if I'm too lazy to make a fire (or to wait on the coals and im hungry), or if I'm plain old 34;stealth camping34; and do not want to be detected. Use it with HEET in the YELLOW bottle, found at most Walmarts or gas stations. Stay away from rubbing alcohol, puts off more fumes and SMOKE.

The stove is great and a real trangia stove but in the description it said it had all of the trangia mini pecies wich are a pot, a pan, a winscreen/potstand, and the stove. All that came was the stove and potstand. It is still a good price but the description is incorrect and needs to be changed.

Nice little light weight stove, easy to use but you do need a windscreen. It takes about 8 minutes to boil 4 cups of water using HEET, which is not bad for an alcohol stove. Most people will only be boiling 2 cups at a time so you do the math.

I bought this specifically for the burner as I had been using a very similar set with an 'off-brand' burner and I wondered what the difference was. Like the other set, the windshield is tragically problematic. It's just slightly too small for me to use any of my small camping pots on. With my larger pots, it seemed like the flames coming off the trangia in this setup were unusually high and various twigs and things on the ground were getting scorched. I think the open configuration let too much oxygen into the combustion in even a light breeze. It works, but it's worrisome. The burner itself is great, especially when used in a Clikstand or a full-sized Trangia cook set. For a solo hiker, I like using it with thenbsp; Esbit folding wind screen nbsp;and a 1L kettle. That's enough water to rehydrate a meal and have a warm drink afterwards.

This works just like it says it will, and the Trangia alcohol stove fits as pictured. It holds a pot well, but don't bump it.
