Cheaper than having the Schrader valve replaced at the shop. I don't know why they don't have this tool - they wanted to bleed system. Seems like a good investment and your buddies will want to borrow it so that might generate some free beer.

This tool performed exactly as advertised. In 15 minutes I had both core valves changed without significant R134a loss and my system is tight again. Could not be happier!

Really handy to have tool to change the valve core. In my case it was leaking enough to pop the plastic cover off, I used this to change the valve core without losing any more R134a, although in my case I'm not sure that there was anything left in the system anyway...

Honestly, how many times do you need to replace a Schraeder valve in your fully-pressurized A/C system? But when you do need to replace a valve, and you don't want to evacuate and refill the system, this tool is essential. It is well-made, works perfectly, makes the job easy, and is a pleasure to use. When you need it, it delivers, and it is worth its weight in gold.

I just received this item yesterday and immediately tried it out on my car. It worked out perfectly. I was able to replace the JRA valve cores from the High amp; Low sides of my Honda Civic Si A/C system without any problems and recharged the system all in about 40 minutes. Good quality item. Thank you for getting it out to me so quickly.

This tool worked easily on my 1999 Subaru Outback. I was able to change out a leaking high side JRA Schrader valve insert. No fuss, no muss.

Once you get the hang of it, it works really well. Well made, solid. Just follow the directions and you've got a new valve stem without leaking any refrigerant.
