I have about 7 of these now . 5 are 12 years old , used all the time on apartments. They still work 100. I’m getting rid of my units that take batteries and the keypads fail in a few years . These just work and work .

I bought this to replace the doorhandle that was already in the outside gate when I bought my house. It was the same brand and I had to replace the older one because it had broken. I installed this one and it worked for about three months and then the outside handle got jammed. After it got jammed the handle wouldn't move at all. I had several people trying to fix it, but they say it's unfixable. I can now open it from the inside going out but if I go out to walk the dog or somewhere quick, I have to put a stopper in the doorway so it will not close all the way and lock. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a security door.

Ordered one that will be under Arizona elements (high heat, lots of sun, and some mansoons). Installation took an hour watching their official video. Changing the code requires taking and replacing small metal piece behind each number, never seen one before but wasnot hard to do. Handle is a little small but will work fine. It has a funcionality that when you need to frequently use the door, you can prevent door from locking which is nice. You just enter the code as usual but finish with Y button.
