I bought this to store extra comforters in, and it serves the purpose nicely. It's surprisingly sturdy. It was easy to assemble, except the two sets of hinges. The holes weren't drilled deeply enough and were really hard to find. Installing all of those hinges took up most of the time for assembly, putting the sides and bottom together was easy. It's a lovely little chest; I might even buy another one.

This toy chest was easy to put together, and is very nice looking. I purchased the gray. The paint is fairly shiny. My grandson scoot blocks and pounds over the top of the lid with toys (he’s only 10 months so we’ll let him get away with that for now), but with as much abuse as this toy chest is taking, there is not a single scratch on it yet. I’m pretty impressed.

My husband assembled it with minimal frustration. Assembled product looks nice and overall has good quality. The only bummer is that despite my husband's care and attention to assembly, the top doesn't close all the way and hovers slightly. Top also feels a little flimsy. Seems OK for my toddler to sit on, but we've had to ask adult guests not to sit on it multiple times (they thought it was a bench) because it doesn't hold their weight well without feeling it give in a little bit.

The toy chest is very nice, fairly easy to assemble and surprisingly roomy. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because during assembly of one of the hinges the wood started to split and crack. Keep in mind there are tiny pre-drilled holes. All you need is a screw driver, and not much force. The first hinge and screws went on without any issues. The second one, the screw caused the wood to split and crack before it was even half way in. Thankfully the problem was contained to just one area of the wood. The other screws went in without any issues. It is still a nice toy chest.
