Be careful setting combination. If during setting, you accidentally release depressed button on bottom, whatever your numbers are set on, that's your combination. If you re-depress the button to finalize your combination, it won't set, and then you'll need to remember the numbers were set on when you accidentally released the button to reset the combination. The button is not that easy to maintain in a depressed position during setting the combination.

I've had a number of these over the years. If you are looking for impenetrable security -- this ain't it. If you are looking to keep honest people honest, or just need some basic safety, these are great. Overtime, the lock mechanism has stopped working on only one of them, and that one had a lot of use before then. Mu only complaint is that the numbers are sometimes difficult to see in low light environments or when needing to use a flashlight.

I didn't think I'm dumb until i had to deal with this lock, its probably simple but they need to give better clearer instructions on how to reset.

A little stiff to use and must be aligned precisely otherwise it won't open.

Not quite easy to set up but once you did is easy to use, I just nit sure about if that is very easy to cut off the wire if somebody steal your luggage

For some reason I struggled a bit with locking this thing. The flexible shackle was a little weird to deal with. You must insert and slide horizontally, so there's one extra step when compared to a traditional rigid shackle U lock. My suitcase arrived home without the lock. I think I just forgot to mix the lock combo after inserting the shackle. Probably won't re-buy this one and will spring for a rigid shackle.

Master Lock has always been a go-to in my household and I see no reason to think differently yet.This lock is extremely cheap price-wise, easy to set, fits snugly, and there were absolutely no issues with TSA either. If I had to complain about anything it'd be that this lock is more for peace of mind than anything else. This isn't going to stop someone who is determined to ruffle through your belongings, but it will stop the would-be's and opportunists. Which in my opinion is justified enough to warrant a purchase!

Great lock and simple to use. But I struggled with taking the wire out to open it sometimes. It ended up chipping away some of the black paint near the part where you insert the wire. Overall I'd recommend!

It's a decent lock. Won't stop a determined thief but good for nosy friends or colleagues. I bought it to keep people out of my laptop case and it serves the purpose.

I love the Lock but does not feel like it going to last, also I had trouble Unlocking and Locking but it's Metal so it should last a long time

This is a nice little lock that will serve to keep honest people honest and help deter all others. My personal experience has been that the TSA simply breaks or cuts the small locks off luggage. I've replace a number of the remnants left hanging on my bags. This lock is a nice slim design the will help secure your items, but only to a certain degree...

If you have failing eyesight, the numbers are impossible to read in low light situations without glasses (actually in any light situation without glasses). I've used this only twice for one trip, and I cannot get it to open at all with my combination. I hate this lock.
