In low light settings, like a dorm at night, it was very hard to see the numbers on the lock to get it opened. The locking mechanism was annoying because you have to figure out if you're clicking open the right side or if the numbers aren't lined up correctly. Have had better locks from generic brands that were much easier to use.

For some reason I struggled a bit with locking this thing. The flexible shackle was a little weird to deal with. You must insert and slide horizontally, so there's one extra step when compared to a traditional rigid shackle U lock. My suitcase arrived home without the lock. I think I just forgot to mix the lock combo after inserting the shackle. Probably won't re-buy this one and will spring for a rigid shackle.

Master Lock has always been a go-to in my household and I see no reason to think differently yet.This lock is extremely cheap price-wise, easy to set, fits snugly, and there were absolutely no issues with TSA either. If I had to complain about anything it'd be that this lock is more for peace of mind than anything else. This isn't going to stop someone who is determined to ruffle through your belongings, but it will stop the would-be's and opportunists. Which in my opinion is justified enough to warrant a purchase!

Got this for a recent trip and was very pleased. It was able to go through four zipper handles securing my main compartment and a front compartment. Easy to set your own combination number and well built.

It's not Fort Knox but I feel it's a reasonable deterrent. TSA compliant so security checks can be done without damaging the lock.

Solid, well built. Easy read dials. Red buttons pops up if TSA opens so you'll know at a glance and can check luggage before leaving airport.

Every time we would go on a trip the hardest part was tracking down a lock and then finding the right key to go with it. Yes, I know, store them together. We did but with multiple family members that have their own ideas, the keys did not always end up with the lock. Easy to work. Fits on all kinds of suitcases and duffles. Would definitely recommend.

Great lock and simple to use. But I struggled with taking the wire out to open it sometimes. It ended up chipping away some of the black paint near the part where you insert the wire. Overall I'd recommend!

We got these to protect our bags not as much during transit (only the TSA has access to your bags while flying, and they have keys to this lock), but when we store our bags with hotels prior to check-in. These work great and provide a decent layer of additional protection for your luggage when you can't be there to keep an eye on it.

Many of these travel locks are flimsy and break easily. These locks are well made and the mechanism for setting the combination prevents mistakes because you don't have to hold down a button while setting the combo. It uses a little metal lever instead.
