Mission: Justice for Sierah, Inc. is a nonprofit organization working to protect communities by implementing the Ohio violent offender database, known as Sierah’s Law, in all 50 states. Our work also includes empowering our youth by establishing self-awareness and self-defense into school curriculum and communities through the Sierah Strong Program.
Results: After working tirelessly to educate Ohio lawmakers on the value of a violent offender database, Justice for Sierah celebrated the December 2018 unanimous passing of Sierah’s Law in the Ohio House with a vote of 85-0, creating a database to be used by law enforcement and everyday citizens to find out where violent offenders live in our communities. Since first offering the Sierah Strong community self-awareness and defense program in 2019, Justice for Sierah has empowered more than 1,000 young people and will continue to provide this program to our community free of charge. Based on the success of the community programming, Justice for Sierah developed the Sierah Strong for the School's curriculum to bring self-awareness and defense training into schools. Seven health and PE lessons teach functional skills to keep young people safe online and in the community. Currently aimed at middle schoolers, Justice for Sierah plans to develop extensions for younger grades in the future so children can receive this training annually, making them comfortable and confident to react quickly if needed. Justice for Sierah successfully piloted the Sierah Strong Health and PE curriculum in two schools in Spring 2021 and lead a second round of pilot testing in over twenty schools in 2022, with a planned rollout of the final curriculum to all interested schools in the Fall of 2022.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Since 2019 , we have empowered more than 1,000 boys and girls through the Sierah Strong for the Community program and we had over 20 schools pilot the Sierah Strong curriculum in the Spring/Fall of 2021 and again in the Spring of 2022 school year.
