works fine once you get it adjusted properly.. Thought it was suppose to come preadjusted I would say if you order one test it before you really need it

These work well, feel good in the hand, and will strip cladding without having to hold at an angle. However, my set screw was adjusted incorrectly from the factory (this is a little disappointing and the reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating). I adjusted the set screw now these work for me flawlessly. I prefer the feel of these over many other fiber strippers on the market. Buy these with confidence, but make sure to test on some spare fiber and adjust your set screw if necessary. Background: I am a professional fiber splicer, so these see a lot of use.

Great price and it strips the tight buffer perfectly on MM fiber. Works better than using your nail to remove the tight buffer coating and the jaws are sized perfectly for the outer jackets.

These fiber optic strippers work great. I used these in a Corning kit that the rep had and I had to get my own pair for my own fiber kit. Highly recommend.
