Got this as an upgrade for the winch on my trailer. I was tired of worrying about someone stealing the winch off my trailer so I went with the suitcase winch option. This one works really well. It's small enough to fit in the locked tool box on my trailer, but strong enough to winch up heavy vehicles. Super easy to set up and worked well right out of the box.

No customer support. Positive lead should come with circuit breaker to protect motor from overheating! Went to web site its very limited and useless and emailed. No response

I use an e-trike to tow my PK-14 kayak on a single kayak trailer to the community dock. The ramp into the water is sand, so pulling the kayak out of the water can be difficult especially at low tide. So I bought this winch and and attached it to the back of the e-trike. Winching the kayak out of the water is now easy. The winch works perfectly.

I love that it's not only in a case to keep rain off but it's mounted to a steel plate with D rings on back. Perfect for temporary mounting in the bed of my truck for pulling in heavy loads. 200lb deer is hard to lift into a big 4x4.

I mounted this to my vehicle I liked it because it has the option of wireless or corded controller and it also has a case that protects it from the elements. I was a little worried that I was not a cable but the rope has been extremely strong I use it to load and unload heavy commercial equipment into my vehicle so far I have no complaints.

I bought this to help load a few smaller cars onto my aluminum Featherlight trailer. I did not want to attach a permanent winch to it as It is fairly small and I am worried about theft. Instead I bought two 18" soft shackles that anchor the unit to my tow hitch when I am loading something. The hitch I have is adjustable and has 3 balls and 1 hook. With the orientation of my hitch the loop ends of the soft shackles go around one of the unused balls and the hook. The knotted ends of the shackles are anchored in behind the removable pins on the winch. I then set the winch and battery on my trailer box and put it to work. Quick and easy loading is now possible! It will be interesting to see how the winch pulls on a heavier load, but so far so good

This is great!! I really like the concept and design of this portable winch. You can mount it permanently if you want and it comes in a nice case so its protected to keep it lasting longer. I like that its portable because I don't have any place to mount it. I use it to pull cars onto a trailer and it works great. Heavy duty thick steel metal. Comes with accessories to get any job done. Simple up/down toggle switch.

I got this winch to replace my old one. I use the winch for the snowplow during winter as well as vehicle recovery. Installing the new winch was very simple and was a direct replacement. I no longer hurt my hands on the metal rope now with this new winch like I did with an old one.

I wanted a winch to use on my utility trailer, so I thought I would give this one a try. Excellent choice. This winch is very well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. Comes in a nice plastic case that contains the winch itself as well as the included accessories. Contains everything you need except a battery to power it. Has both corded and cordless remotes. I do wish that the battery cables had alligator clips instead of just terminals, but that's minor. This is a well made substantial piece of equipment. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

This RUGCEL WINCH 12V DC Electric Portable Utility Winch 4500lb/2041kg Single Line Pull- winch is excellent to keep in my Jeep or in my truck when travelling through remote and rough country. The winch very easily opens and becomes accessible with many strong and useful ropes, etc. and can be anchored to my tow hooks and is ready to use if needed for an emergency pull or nudge for a stranded back roader. I used it to pull some heavy mineral concentration equipment into position- some of it weighing over 1500 lbs. - with no problem or overheating. The remote works from a safe distance and the winch is very well built and designed in a very innovative way -for emergency use. Totally love it! Great find!

I'm impressed with the build quality of this, and how it is all integrated into the case. While I don't have continuous need for a winch in the traditional sense of vehicle recovery or tree work, I plan on using this for equipment maintenance, while having it around if another need arises. This is one of those tools that I will find uses for that I didn't anticipate. I am adding some mounts to the ceiling of my shed where I can hang this and use the remote to raise and lower the cable. I'll then attach it to my tractor, or snow blower, or generator to lift them up for oil changes, tire changes, or other maintenance needs where I currently muscle them onto blocks or balance them on a floor jack. All of my equipment is under 800lbs, so well within the capacity of this. This will store out of the way as it will be hanging from the ceiling but accessible with a couple pins if I need it somewhere else. I paired it with an AC to DC converter and used the cables that came with that, so I didn't run into the issues others have with the power cables, though I'm glad they pointed them out so I'm aware and can prepare the cables for use outside of my shed.

I seen some people have issues with this winch but mine has been great. I used it to drag some logs about 15-18 inches in diameter and about 5ft long over to my splitter and it did it with ease and minimal motor heat. Functionality is great and comes with all necessary accessories. Also comes with a wireless controller making working by your self that much easier. For the price and the what you get your really can't go wrong. 10/10

I have a Honda Pilot and there is no way that I am strapping a winch to the front end of it! But from time to time I actually need a winch, so this Tank winch is a game changer. It comes in a case and I can anchor the unit to my car, a tree, or any solid object. There were several times that I needed to put tension on a tree limb to guide its fall but I was not able to. I am beyond impressed with its quality and build strength. I love that it is portable and in a briefcase so that it can go anywhere. This is so much nicer than anything that you could put on the front of any truck or SUV. You could also use this for a boat or emergency situations, but you do need to remember that you will need to hook this up to a car battery or lithium ion battery for it to work. I read where a person had problems with the terminals being too small to hook to their battery. New terminals for this unit with alligator clips are less than $10 if you have an issue hooking it up to your battery. For me this technology is such a game changer because of how portable it is and the way the I can use it. I really love it and highly recommend it!

Overall, I am pleased with this winch. The design of it being installed in the case is good and makes using and storing it easy. I have an Anderson connector under my hood and one from my aux batteries in the bed of my truck. These make it easy to connect and disconnect power. I also have jumper cables with an Anderson end on them so I can use the winch on other vehicles. Thanks to another reviewer I now know how to turn the remote on. Hold down both buttons for 3 seconds to power on and off. This is a good mid level winch. This will not pull your crew cab out of 3' deep mud, you need 2 to 3 times your vehicle weight in winch power to get the nasty jobs done. For what it is and for the price I think this is a pretty good winch and for my needs I would buy it again. 5 STARS

This portable winch is neat in the way it has a built in anchoring system, however you power it this can be used in a ton of different situations. This comes with straps to tie the winch to a tree, a vehicle or a trailer. The dual controls let you use the wired control or the handheld remote that has a 100 foot range. This thing is unique.

The reason I got this winch is hauling firewoods, so I got a big area of trees and I needed to pull them out and cut them, so this wich pulls every single of these trees without having any issues. The weight capacity is super decent and never stopped on me. In addition, it's very compact which comes in a small plastic box, so you can power it up even from outside. Moreover, remote control functions very well. I blieve it's worth every single penny.
