It works. My daughter told me she got one and was very pleased. I thought I would try it and it saves a mess especially when frying bacon.

Has some weight to it, seems to be well made, the metal rod support from the handle to the outer edges is a good design with bends in three places to keep the screen on the pan, the black handle covering has good grip. it's a keeper for sure

The exposed metal on the end of the handle gets very hot. Yes it does stop splatter, and the exposed metal handle makes a perfect curved blister on your hand.
