good item as a pool timer

Although this is meant for no more than a 1 HP motor, I have been using it for a 2 HP filter motor. Consequently, it won't last me more than 2 or 3 seasons. However, I recommend it!

This timer was exactly what I was looking for to use on my pool pump. Very simple to operate!

Easy to set up, rated for the motor on my aboveground pool and see through cover helps you insure that it's working.

It was a bit difficult to install as the screw hole locations required a special screwdriver to turn the bottom screw. After some manipulation, I was able to get it done. I'm using a 1 HP motor for my pool pump, and the unit has no issues handling that load. I'm using it for 8-hour on/off service and have had no issue with the timer not working properly (the 2 pins are staying intact). It's easy to set up, once you install the unit, and it works like a charm so far (2 months of service). I have it and my GFI mounted to a 4x4" post about two feet off the ground, and had to put a bucket over both of them as my GFI was kicking off during heavy rains splashing up into the unit from the concrete base. Not sure if the timer has the same issue, so I decided to cover them both. As we get torrential rains here (8-10 inches a day), I figured that was a simple solution.
