Device functions as it should but I have never been able to register the unit and use the online features because the MAC ID and CRC numbers on the insert card are not correct. They do not match the MAC numbers on the back of the device! Neither set of numbers works to register this device. Three tries with Customer Service - they seem impatient and rude. The last rep asked me to allow a video call, take the unit off the wall, remove the (second) incorrect sticker and look for other MAC numbers under it. Told me the number on the (second, incorrect) sticker is already in use by another device somewhere. Since I was uncomfortable with this request I did not follow through. Frustrated and disgusted!

Recently I ran into the issue of the app not connecting to the thermostat even though the thermostat showed wifi connectivity. I ended up chatting with Honeywell support. Here is the solution to the problem: Reconnecting thermostat to app please follow the next steps remove the thermostat from the wall plate for several minutes during this times disconnect router for 30 seconds and then back on once is back and fully connected to Wifi place the thermostat back on the wall plate This worked. Hope it helps.

Bought two. both randomly shut off and won't turn back on, one a few minutes after installing, the other started turning off and on after about 20 minutes then eventually was dead too. judging by the serial numbers they probably have the same issue because one is 2437 and the other is 2438. Don't bother with this trash.

Basic thermostat unit with Wi-Fi capabilities. I am good with gadgets so was an easy install and setup. I did add a C wire (constant 24v) connection to make unit Wi-Fi work. If you download the Honeywell Home App on your phone (IOS or Android) it is very easy to use. I set all my programing, turning HVAC on/off from phone. I really don't even go to the physical unit anymore. Negatives = Unit does NOT stay lit up; you must push a button for it to light up. I like it lit all the time because I have a dark hallway. Also does NOT have date/day on the physical screen. Overall, recommend 4 stars. Hope this review helps you.

Easy to replace my existing non-WiFi Stat. The wires were identicle. It definitely took longer to setup the WiFi connection then to install the Unit. Works great with our HVAC needs at home.
