I have a pair in my living room and one in my bedroom. I listen to classical music, singer/songwriters (James Taylor, Janis Ian) and vintage rock. I can't afford a sound system or stereo, so these might work for you. The bass is really, really nice but sometimes the treble is lost in the complexity of the music. All the same, I am very, very happy to have music fill my home again.

I use these speakers for drum practice. Since I am a jazz drummer I don't play loud. Nevertheless it is drums, and speakers for practicing need to have lots of volume. I use blue tooth transmitted by phone, computer , and ipod with blue tooth toggle. Connection to all of these devices is quick and easy. I only need the speaker volume control on max when receiving from my old ipod with bt toggle.. They are a little louder than my single speaker rated at 60 watts, and the sound quality is much better. They come with a 10 foot RCA cable; not quite long enough so I had to spring 10 bucks for a fifteen footer. The sound quality is really quite amazing for speakers at this price. The built-in equalizer settings work, and so do the bass and treble controls. For even more sound control I use a free equalizer app on my android phone.

The distortion is maddening. Made certain it was not cds or player; cds played on other systems just fine. Now it is too late to return or exchange:( so disappointed

There is nothing fancy here except the remote which makes these speakers really versatile for a lot of different applications. I bought them to compliment a monitor I use to watch a Roku through. The monitor has built in speakers which are ok but the volume control is clunky so the speakers give me the ability to manage sound without touching the monitor. The look good and sound good so for the price they are great.

Absolutely amazing. I wouldn't even want to upgrade. We use this for our RV, but I would definitely use them for surround sound in a BIG living room with no issues
