I have a pair in my living room and one in my bedroom. I listen to classical music, singer/songwriters (James Taylor, Janis Ian) and vintage rock. I can't afford a sound system or stereo, so these might work for you. The bass is really, really nice but sometimes the treble is lost in the complexity of the music. All the same, I am very, very happy to have music fill my home again.

I use these speakers for drum practice. Since I am a jazz drummer I don't play loud. Nevertheless it is drums, and speakers for practicing need to have lots of volume. I use blue tooth transmitted by phone, computer , and ipod with blue tooth toggle. Connection to all of these devices is quick and easy. I only need the speaker volume control on max when receiving from my old ipod with bt toggle.. They are a little louder than my single speaker rated at 60 watts, and the sound quality is much better. They come with a 10 foot RCA cable; not quite long enough so I had to spring 10 bucks for a fifteen footer. The sound quality is really quite amazing for speakers at this price. The built-in equalizer settings work, and so do the bass and treble controls. For even more sound control I use a free equalizer app on my android phone.

I am now playing gigs with my Yamaha P-80 and needed to replace my previous speaker system. Much simpler set up as the previous also had a subwoofer unit. These have a nice sound and you can adjust the bass and treble as you like. I am very pleased.

The speakers on our TV face straight down and make poor sound. Plugged a set of these into the ear phone jack and now have speakers that face us as they should and produce much better sound that is adjustable. The remote works, and has base, treble adjustments as well as volume and mute. I can now hear most of the dialog on the shows and the sound is richer and better.
