Easy to install, just need 2 screwdrivers. As another poster stated, the plugs were too small so I reused the old ones. These new pods will last about 2 years in my older pool, based on my last replacement. I originally just purchased the wings and pod shoes, but when I took off the old ones it was clear the pods were shot as well. Next time I will purchase all together. Tip: if you replace the pod shoes, for easier installation put the shoes on the new pods BEFORE you install. Channel locks work great for this because you have to push hard to get them on. Use a towel over the new shoe, then use the channel lock to squeeze into place. So much easier.

I’ve tried a couple of different shoes and they all fall out. Don’t buy.
