I had some sand pockets at the bottom of my pool. Took the filter apart and one of the laterals were broken. This part fit perfectly and solved the problem.

If you have a 24in Hayward sand filter tank and looking for a new lateral assy then this is the one you need. The model tag sticker on my filter tank has been long gone making it difficult to find out any info for it, however after seeing the measurements of this new one when ordering i gave it a try and this was the exact same one. Installed it and tested it and now no more sand shooting into the pool. Great price
