I've tried many of the aftermarket skimmer baskets out there and non of them compare to this skimmer basket. Every other skimmer basket was just a waste of money. I don't have a lanai around my pool. At times I get enough leaves in my pool that the vacuum would break the other baskets. I've gone 2 seasons without that happening( and still going strong), and I'm usually purchasing about two a year. I will only buy these from here on out.

If your pool skimmer is a Baker Hydro then this skimmer basket is likely a perfect fit. After emptying, as long as the pump is still running, usually all you need to do is drop the basket back into the skimmer and listen. If it goes down and gets seated properly you will hear those several notes that you've always heard (if you've bothered to listen). If the notes stop one or two short, you know you just need to give it a gentle push for it to get home. A very heavy duty basket that does not bulge under suction if it is full.

I thought i had two oem Baker baskets for my baker skimmers. They would eventually crack. They weren't dirt cheap, either. I bought these cause of the great reviews and they are completely different than any of the baskets I've bought before. About 10x thicker with built in handle. Just buy them. So well worth the price.

more expensive than others I bought, But worth it. extremely well made and should last a long time. The built in lip to remove basket works great and is a good idea to eliminate cheap handles that always break.
