GeminiJets 1/200 scale Lufthansa Airbus A350-900 diecast model is As Real as it Gets and measures approximately 13-1/16-inches long with a 12-3/4-inch wingspan. An Official Licensed Product that is manufactured by GeminiJets as a limited edition, highly collectible model, this Lufthansa Airbus A350-900 - Registration D-AIXP - has been meticulously recreated from Airbus' blueprints and features realistic landing gear along with detailed graphics and markings, assuring the utmost accuracy and superior quality. A Display Stand is included.
Recognized as Airbus' first aircraft largely manufactured of carbon fiber reinforced polymer, consequently yielding increased efficiency, reduced weight, and improved aerodynamics, the Airbus A350-900, which succeeds the Airbus A340, was proposed by Airbus to compete against Boeing's 787 Dreamliner and went into service in 2015 with Qatar Airways as the launch customer.
A large aircraft, the A350 can seat 300-410 passengers in a typical three-class configuration (up to 480 passengers in an all economy, high-density configuration), and is designed to fly short-haul to ultra-long-haul routes with a 9,700nm range. While the initial A350-900 model has a fuselage length of 219.5-ft with a 213-ft wingspan, the latter stretched variant, the A350-1000 comes in with a 242.4-ft fuselage, the same 213-ft wingspan, and features Rolls Royce Trent XWB new technology engines. Although a shorter A350-800, with a 198.6-ft fuselage was initially planned, it never came to fruition.
