I wish I had this years ago. This ratchet set helped me get to the hard to reach areas during a recent brake job I did myself. Seems very sturdy and should last for years.

This review is for GEARWRENCH 4 Piece 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" Drive 120XP Full Polish Flex Handle Teardrop Ratchet Set This is a 4-pack of ratchet handles 1/2", a long and short 3/8" and a long 1/4". The fit and finish on these tools are simply great. The 120 clicks per turn (3 degrees) means that they work even with very limited swing. At the same time the force required to set the ratchet pawls when moving back for another turn is quite low, meaning hat you may not need to use your finger to hold a loose bolt from unscrewing when moving the handle back for another turn. I was concerned about the small diameter of the handle, bot I can put a great deal of pull on the ratchet without feeling any finger strain. The smooth taper makes it easier to find the correct grip location and slide down if more pull is needed. This is especially helpful on the longer 3/8" handle, here you can start close to the head and then move to the end to put a very large amount of torque on the fastener without removing your hand from the tool. I like the flex heads and use this feature all the time with another brand's ratchet set. Because it flexes up to 90 it can be used as a spinner. These are very high quality tools that also look nice and I am sure that I will be using them for a long time. If you need more ratchets, these are a great buy for a set of fine pitch flex head ratchets. Recommended.

GearWrench has been synonymous with high quality, and these wrenches are no exception. The kit includes three wrenches: 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". They come packaged in a nice fitted foam insert that can be placed in your tool drawer. The best part of these wrenches is the double-stacked tooth sets that generate 120 positions, so you can get more wrenching done with less movement in tight spaces. The fit and finish is fantastic, but they do show fingerprints very easily. The price is also high, but you get what you pay for.

This review is for the set of 3 120XP ratchets (non-flexhead). GearWrench wasn't really on my radar until I watched the excellent video and comparison prepared by Project Farm on YouTube. I thought I would buy one to give it a try and it truly has been the best ratchet I've used so I was excited to get all three sizes. I've had sets from Craftsman, DeWalt, ACE, etc. and they all get the job done but these make the job so much easier in small ways. The shorter swing of the handle really helps in tight situations. For those wondering, these were manufactured in Taiwan and feel like the most solid ratchets I've used. Highly recommended.

Another great set of tools from this brand, this ratchet set is very high quality. Great for spaces that are tight and tucked in, where you don't have a lot of room for ratcheting action but can use a long reach, and the heads are nice and small. The ratcheting mechanism is very smooth.

I got this set and these are now probably my favorite ratchets, even better than a couple snap on ratchets I have. The movement is clean and satisfying, and with the smaller angle I can get more clicks in on the hard to reach bolts (usually under a car). I appreciate the flat side of the handle, giving you a couple mm more clearance than a regular round shaft. I intend to baby this set and I'll use my "beater" ratchets for beating on. The finish is very nice on these. I've been extremely happy with all my gear wrench brand tools, like the ratcheting box wrenches.

141 bucks at this time for the standard set with no flex head. These are probably the best ratchets I have ever owned. I can never go back anything less than 120 clicks. I'm not a pro but have worked on my own trucks, cars, motorcycles, atvs, ect. most of my life. Hopefully they last a lifetime. They do not have push button to unlock the detents, which I kinda prefer. The detents hold well though. Everything about them is premium and I really have no complaints. Even come in a foam tool box tray. Made in Taiwan

These rackets are awesome. First off they come with a lifetime warranty and it’s a quality manufacture. I love the smoothness of them with the 120 tooth action and they even come in a foam holder for your toolbox draw. The different sizes are a must to get in them tight places. Overall very pleased with the quality, style, and look of this set.

These are really well made ratchet set. They work so much better than any of the ones I had currently. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a set costing as much as these but with how much they have blown me away I can see why they would have this price on them. Overall I am incredibly happy with this set and will keep testing these and see how well they hold up.

These feel like they were made for someone with small hands. They work just fine, they are just slimmer than I was expecting is all. These aren't intended for massive amounts of torque, but I don't know if that matters for what these will be used for 99 of the time.

high tooth count makes for ease of use in small places. Flex heads aren't typically my favorite on ratchets but these stay tight and work well.

Super nice ratchets from Gearwrench. These are some of the longest 1/4" and 3/8" ratchets that I own. Nice grips and ratchets are super smooth. Nice set of ratchets in a foam organizer to complete the package.

This is a great set overall and flex heads are a game changer. Adding another 180 degrees of articulation let's you get around places and in areas that would otherwise be a giant PITA or impossible. The action is smooth, almost like a buzzing rather than clicking due to that high tooth count. The size is ample especially on the 3/8 and 1/2 heads eliminating the need to get a breaker bar a lot of the time. These are great for working on vehicles, bikes, and pretty much anything that is bolted together.

I've owned GEARWRENCH products before and have always been happy with its quality and this set of flex handle ratchets is no different. The first thing you will notice when you handle these ratchets is the weight - definitely substantial with a "no nonsense" design intended to getting the job done. The long ratchet will definitely provide some torque behind whatever it is you're needing to loosen. The pivoting head is smooth and the gear moves freely without any binding. I kept the ratchets in the foam tray it came with and the entire set fits perfectly in my toolbox. I think this set is not only perfect for the casual DIYers but for the professional mechanics as well. I'm definitely happy with how these ratchets have performed and definitely recommend!

I have another set of Gearwrench flex handle ratchets, the 81230P, which are great ratchets. These are even better, with a slightly smaller profile head. They work great and can get into some tight spots. 5 stars.
