If you already know your Tremolo bridge is good and well balanced, then this nut with locking tuners will go far to stabilize your tuning. There is something else to this nut that is not advertised and that is that this also helps bring out harmonics on your guitar that you would only normally get with a locking nut or a guitar with a "zero" fret. I've been using this nut on my non-locking guitars for 30 years. I don't believe I would keep using something for that amount of time if it wasn't good.

The nut is overall fine, initial/old reviews of the Ball Bearings Falling Out has been addressed amp; is NOT AN ISSUE ANY MORE!What the have Not Addressed is the Ridiculously Cheap Screws they provide. Was very cautious (read the reviews), did some pilot holes, even put some parafin on the screw itself, all to no avail, still managed to strip the screw head with the slightest bit of pressure. What a piece of JUNK.I actually ordered the same exact nut from KAISH, STAINLESS STL. it was less expensive, came with Three (3) Quality Screws (I took one and replaced the cheap fender one). Build quality of the Kaish was IDENTICAL, but, Unlike the fender, the Brown piece where the nut sits in is ALL METAL as Oppose to Fender's Plastic one.I ordered 3 more Kaish Roller Nuts, for future builds. Same your$elf some money, skip this poor offering from fender (sorry Fender).

the shelf that's included is a little long if you choose to install it in a non Wilkinson setup. It's no big deal, you can cut the shelf and glue ut back snug against the back of the nut, it has an added benefit if you move the angle up slightly to just touch the strings as a mute to tame the harmonics on high gain settings

Easy to install but doesn't use the old holes for the Wilkinson. So you'll have to drill new (pilot) holes. Use a very small bit and make sure to limit the depth so your drill bit doesn't go thru the neck. Then put a little paste or bee wax on the screws when you put them in. Makes it easy!

What the title says (install in combination with locking tuners and you will never have tuning issues again). Also it fits on my Squier standard strat (with modifications to the nut slot, obviously) which is nice.

The guitar stays in tune. No pinching, no binding... Does what it's supposed to.
