Works great for me but it did came loose at the screw connection (weak) and LUCKILY I had the wherewithal to pull it down before it came loss. Tightened it securely and tado! So FWIW

Oh man it’s perfect! A little sketch about the price but gambled and won! Grips the lights perfectly, are fixtures are hanging from a cord so they twist and turn with the rotation of the pole, but this doesn’t let the bulb slip and changed 4 in succession without breakage, then put 4 more to replace them with no issue or breakage! Great product.

After drilling through where the useless set screw went and using a 3/16" x 1 5/8" hitch pin; it works as advertised. Attach to a telescopic pole that has been drilled to match and get to changing those bulbs.

I have a high ceiling with a fan/light combo. I was NOT looking forward to climbing a ladder to change the bulbs. This made it SO easy! I have heard in some of the reviews that people had trouble with finding a handle that fit. If you have a Dollar Tree in your area, their poles in the cleaning area fit perfectly.

I had a Bayco bulb replacement tool that performed marginally. The set screws that keep the baskets from rotating cause the plastic to break almost immediately when you tighten them to the pole. When this happens the end of the pole rotates inside the receptacle on the basket and the bulb stays in place. I usually end up putting the tool away, getting my ladder and doing the job that way. My most recent burn out happened on trash day so I finally decided to throw the old tool away and run to the hardware store and grab a new one but all they had was the same piece of junk I just threw away. I did a little online research and found a video review of the Ettore kit. The thing that stood out was that there was a hole in the end of their pole that the set screw went into that keeps the basket from rotating without cracking the plastic. I would imagine they were getting the same complaints as the other manufacturers but they decided to do something about it. I had to buy the Ettore pole separately since it wasn't available as a kit. Anyway, I know this is a long review but I figure if I explain why this tool is better people can make an intelligent decision. My ladder can stay outside.

Other reviewers warned that the set-screws on these do not work. knowing this I bought it anyway believing I could fix it.The design flaw is that the manufacturer failed to mold a metal threaded insert into the plastic sleeve and instead threaded the plastic itself. This obviously will not be strong enough. The pictures show my solution. I threaded the changer into my pole and drilled a 1/4" hole all the way through. At the hardware store I bought a 1/4" by 2" clevis pin and a hitch pin clip to fit and that solved the problem. A machine screw and wing nut would be almost as convenient.

Our living area has recessed can lights which are fairly high up. I'm too old to safely stand on a ladder. I used the large sized holder to both remove and replace the bulbs. The holder screwed onto a 6 foot pole I already had. Those poles are a fairly universal thread. I removed the brush from one I used to clean siding. At first I was concerned that the holder had too much tension and might break the bulb, but it wasn't an issue. Be sure and wear safety glasses when doing this
